Five Men Arrested After Shooting Toward Occupied Homes in Fort Worth

FORT WORTH, TX – Five young men face charges after allegedly firing weapons toward occupied residences, forcing terrified residents to take cover as bullets flew overhead.

Fort Worth police responded to reports of armed individuals in the 200 block of Yuma Street near Mississippi Avenue on February 8 at approximately 9:30 p.m. The department’s Real Time Crime Center reviewed surveillance footage that captured multiple suspects with firearms shooting recklessly in the direction of nearby homes.

Multiple 911 callers reported bullets passing dangerously close to them, with residents dropping to the ground to avoid potential injury. The callers expressed fear for their safety as the gunfire continued in their neighborhood.

Police investigators used video surveillance to identify a suspect vehicle’s license plate number, leading to a high-risk traffic stop in the area. During the arrest, officers observed one passenger attempt to conceal a handgun by shoving it under the front seat.

The five arrested men are Darius Chandler, 19; Alfredo Jimenez, 18; Draylon Williams, 18; Donavan Wright, 18; and Izac Villarreal, 19. All were taken into custody without further incident.

Officers seized multiple firearms from the suspects and discovered marijuana inside a backpack during their search. The investigation revealed that all five individuals had been shooting toward occupied houses beyond a fence line.

Fort Worth Police Department officials stated that the suspects’ actions demonstrated a reckless disregard for human life, endangering innocent residents in their own homes. The department released video footage of the investigation on social media.

The case highlights the ongoing efforts by Fort Worth police to use surveillance technology and real-time crime monitoring to quickly identify and apprehend suspects who endanger public safety through reckless weapons violations.
