Delaware County Officers Placed on Leave During Criminal Investigation

MEDIA, PA – Three police officers in Delaware County are under criminal investigation after authorities executed search warrants at their homes last Friday, sources confirmed Tuesday.

The Delaware County Criminal Investigation Division is leading the probe into the officers, two from Sharon Hill Police Department and one from Darby Township Police Department, according to law enforcement sources.

Both Sharon Hill officers have been placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation. The employment status of the Darby Township officer remains unclear as of Tuesday evening.

Search warrants were served simultaneously at all three officers’ residences on Friday morning, though authorities have not disclosed what evidence investigators were seeking or what prompted the investigation.

The Delaware County District Attorney’s Office has not responded to requests for comment regarding the nature of the allegations or potential charges the officers may face.

Officials from the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office said they are not involved in the investigation and declined to provide any information about the case.

Sharon Hill Police Department and Darby Township Police Department have not issued public statements regarding their officers’ involvement in the criminal probe.

The investigation comes as law enforcement agencies across Pennsylvania face increased scrutiny over officer conduct and accountability measures.

No arrests have been announced in connection with the investigation, and no timeline has been provided for when the probe might conclude.
