OSWEGO, IL – A Chicago-area woman was found dead inside her home Wednesday after her husband watched in horror as surveillance footage captured a man chasing her into the garage, police said.
The husband immediately called 911 after seeing the disturbing video showing his wife being pursued by someone he recognized as her former romantic partner. Officers rushed to the Oswego residence and discovered the woman deceased inside.
“Preliminary investigation indicates the suspect followed the victim into the garage and attacked her,” Oswego Police said in a statement.
The suspect didn’t get far. Within 25 minutes of the initial 911 call, officers spotted a vehicle matching the description provided by witnesses who had seen someone flee the scene. A traffic stop led to the arrest of the victim’s ex-husband.
Neighbors had provided crucial information including a vehicle description and license plate number that helped police quickly track down the suspect. He was taken into custody without incident.
The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office and neighboring police departments assisted in the search for the suspect before his apprehension. An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the exact cause and manner of death.
Authorities have not released the names of the victim or the suspect. No formal charges had been announced as of Wednesday evening, though prosecutors are expected to file charges following the completion of the autopsy.
The investigation remains ongoing, and police said additional details would be released as they become available.

Just another Democrat run city the judge probably will give him a lower prison sentence or release him.
