PHILADELPHIA, PA – Authorities are conducting an urgent search for a 23-year-old woman who disappeared under suspicious circumstances after leaving her overnight nursing home shift on Saturday.
Kada Scott’s sudden disappearance has alarmed family members and investigators, particularly after revelations that she had been receiving harassing phone calls prior to vanishing without a trace.
Scott’s car was discovered abandoned in the nursing home parking lot where she worked. Her phone and social media accounts have been inactive since her disappearance, raising concerns among investigators that she may be in danger.
“You have a 23-year-old young lady who has completely disappeared. She has not reached out to family or friends,” said Philadelphia Police Captain John Craig.
Family members told investigators Scott had mentioned receiving threatening phone calls before her disappearance. The nature of these calls and the identity of the caller remain under investigation.
Police are reviewing surveillance footage from the nursing home and surrounding areas to piece together Scott’s movements on the night she vanished. Captain Craig emphasized that Scott has no history of disappearing or running away, making her sudden absence particularly alarming.
Scott is described as 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighing approximately 120 pounds. Investigators are urging anyone with information about her whereabouts to come forward.
The case has drawn attention to workplace safety for overnight healthcare workers, particularly those who may face harassment or threats while on the job.
