Tom Holland Gives Update on Spider-Man Set Injury Recovery

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Actor Tom Holland says he is “on the mend” after suffering an injury while filming “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” the latest installment in the Marvel superhero franchise.

Holland, 29, shared an update on his recovery through social media, reassuring fans that he is “feeling better” following the on-set incident that temporarily halted production.

The British actor did not specify the nature of his injury but indicated that filming has resumed with modified safety protocols. “Thanks for all the support and well wishes,” Holland wrote. “The team has been incredible during my recovery.”

Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios have not released details about the injury or its impact on the film’s production schedule. “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” represents Holland’s return to the web-slinger role after the success of previous films in the franchise.

Holland has a history of performing his own stunts in the Spider-Man films, though studios typically employ safety coordinators and stunt doubles for dangerous sequences. The actor previously sustained minor injuries during filming of earlier Marvel productions.

The upcoming film is expected to continue the storyline established in previous Spider-Man movies, with Holland reprising his role as Peter Parker alongside returning cast members from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Production crews are implementing enhanced safety measures following the incident to ensure the well-being of cast and crew members during the remainder of filming.

“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” is scheduled for release in summer 2026, though the production delay may affect the official premiere date.
